This blog is mostly about looking at news-related web sites, and guessing at how they do that voodoo that they do so well.
The author of the blog, Ken Ellis, is the Chief Scientist at Daylife, where he guides research into new ways to analyze and present news and related media. He earned his bachelor’s degree from MIT and his PhD in physics from Cornell in 1998. In the past he has been a physicist at Bell Labs, a management and IT consultant, and an expert on peer-to-peer file sharing and anti-piracy. His father was a journalism professor briefly, and he has always loved newspapers. He even started one for his Junior High School.
Ken lives in Basking Ridge NJ, and is an avid runner with a 5K PR of 16:42, served on a few boards and committees, and has been to several USATF national conventions.
